Colonel Alexis Fecteau was commissioned by the United States Air Force through the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute ROTC program in Troy, New York in 1984, and completed a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University in 1992. He received his pilot training at Vance AFB, OK and initially flew OV-10A aircraft. Colonel Fecteau went on to fly F-15C aircraft at Bitburg AB, Germany and Langley AFB, VA, followed by an assignment to the United States Air Force Academy. During his time the US Air Force, Fecteau has been a flight lead, mission commander, NATO mission commander, instructor pilot, functional check flight pilot, standardization and evaluation flight examiner, and has commanded a flight and a squadron. In 1999, Colonel Fecteau transferred to the Air Force Reserve at the Space Warfare Center, and is both an original cadre member and key architect of the National Security Space Institute, its associated Reserve Unit, and the Reserve adjunct to the SECDEF directed Space Professional Program. Colonel Fecteau has served as a command pilot and holds more than 3,000 flying hours, including 500 combat flying hours in the F-15C in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Deny Flight, Vigilant Warrior and Southern Watch.
Ranked Top Reserve Officer at the Institute and Space Warfare Center in unit for 3 straight years, Fecteau is highly decorated; he wears the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Medal with silver oak leaf cluster, the Aerial Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the AF Outstanding Unit Award with silver and bronze oak leaf cluster, the AF Organizational Excellence Award with oak leaf cluster, the Combat Readiness Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with service star, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with three service stars, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Air Force Overseas Ribbon Long, the Air Force Longevity Service with three oak leaf clusters, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with two mobilization devices, the Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon with star, the Air Force Training Ribbon, the NATO Service Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal from the Government of Kuwait.
Most recently, Alexis Fecteau served as the Senior Product Manager for RNP and NavData at Jeppesen in beautiful Denver, Colorado.
