Filipe Fortes went to Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction.
After Carnegie Mellon, Filipe spent five years at Microsoft working on the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) team. There, he was the Program Manager for the text and layout portions of the platform.
Filipe left Microsoft during the summer of 2006, and spent the rest of the year traveling to Europe and living in Beijing, China. He has since returned to Seattle, where he works as a freelance consultant.
