Joung Lee joined AASHTO in June of 2007 as Senior Analyst for Transportation Finance and Business Development. In this capacity, he reviews legislative matters, evaluates transportation funding scenarios and options, interacts with other transportation stakeholders, and advances AASHTO’s business development program.

His prior positions include transportation planner positions with the Federal Highway Administration Headquarters and Division Offices in Connecticut and New Jersey, and assignments at the Federal Transit Administration, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Office of the Secretary of Transportation.

After arriving in the US from Seoul, South Korea, as a 10 year old, Joung grew up in Fairfax, VA, and is happy to be back home in the DC area after many years of moving around and seeing the country. He is an avid hockey fan, and can be found playing roller hockey in front of the White House on weekends.
